One job, done properly
RolCut doesn't pretend to be an all-in-one suite. It nests on the roll, cuts on the contour and hands back files your cutter understands.
Nesting for rolls, not for A4
A packer with kerf, rotation and a time budget. A 159 cm roll or a rigid board — whatever runs on your floor.
cut.pdf and cut.dxf
CutContour or Thru-cut spot, stroke width in points, registration marks, their own OCG layer. The same contour also comes out as DXF.
True-shape nesting
PNG with alpha, SVG and DXF interlock by silhouette. JPEGs, PDFs and files without transparency stay rectangles — the switch is on the job.
Shop recipes
The operator picks Canvas, Poster or Paper. Wrap, stretcher rail, face border (empty / mirror / colour), named stretcher bars, 180 dpi ceiling, Code128. Sheet, pack and cutter travel together.
Cut layers
Kiss and thru on separate spots. Summa, Graphtec, iEcho or your own — nothing hard-coded.
A queue and an API
Export runs on the server. From the browser always. API with a bearer token — on the yearly plan.
RGB or CMYK with ICC
print.pdf comes out DeviceRGB (the shop JPEG) or DeviceCMYK. Picker: PSO Coated v3 (FOGRA51) by default, also FOGRA39, FOGRA47, GRACoL, SWOP. LittleCMS, perceptual intent (what Sharp actually runs). The RIP still applies its machine profile.
From a folder of files to the cutter
Drop in the files
JPEG, PNG, TIFF, WebP, PDF, SVG or DXF. Dimensions come from the DPI, a name like 60x80 or 16x20in, the vector, or the PDF TrimBox.
Check the layout
Sheet preview, waste and cost. Rectangle or shape — change a preset, run it again.
Collect the files
print.pdf for the RIP, cut.pdf with the spot, cut.dxf for the cutter. The job runs through the queue and stays in your history.

Before you sign up
Is this a RIP?
No. RolCut arranges the work and produces print.pdf, cut.pdf and cut.dxf. On CMYK, LittleCMS converts into the ICC you pick (PSO Coated v3 / FOGRA51 by default). Head rasterising and the paper profile stay in the RIP.
Which CMYK profile?
On the recipe: RGB keeps the shop JPEG. CMYK — an ICC picker, FOGRA51 by default. FOGRA39, uncoated, GRACoL and SWOP are there too. It is not the machine profile.
What about contour cutting?
Yes — PNG with a transparent background, SVG and DXF nest by silhouette and go to the cutter with a contour. JPEGs, PDFs (first page, TrimBox → raster) and files without alpha stay rectangles. The switch is on the job.
What happens to my files?
A separate storage prefix per shop and a retention period tied to your plan. The database is physically separate from other systems.
